Does modifying indicators affect trading?

<p id="isPasted">Some indicators tend to change because some are dependent on the candle stick activity or even the volume traded during the projected time. Some indicators however, don't change structure or rather shouldn't change it's structure regardless of the time frame.</p><p>It is alleged that some indicators that shouldn't change seem to show a huge difference as you move through different timeframes.
