<p>You might prefer following this way:</p><ul><li id="isPasted">Open a line chart.</li><li>Identify the lowest point on the chart.</li><li>Start marking all the lows that you can spot on the chart (go from left to right). Lows appear like a ‘v’ or ‘u’ shape on line charts.</li><li>Similarly mark the highs as well. Highs will be ‘^’ shaped.</li><li>If the highs formed are higher then the previous highs and the following lows are higher then the previous lows then the stock/index/commodity you are analysing is in an uptrend.</li></ul>
