Price manipulation by different brokers, help?

<p>"Bulls" make people feel like they're missing the boat. "X Co has a patent to cure cancer. They're in stage 2 and the EU just announced a favorable review of their first trial!" Please note my commentary here is broad. There's a huge difference between trading and investing. Generally speaking, brokers want you to trade so they'll pump up short term considerations to get you to do so. Not every broker/money manager is blindly greedy, though, nor is every investor, right? You can definitely make money trading but even if you have a longer term perspective, timing is very important particularly if you're going to buy and hold. Whatever the situation, hype, psychology, and technical trading is what drives most day to day movement. If you believe in long term fundamentals, pay attention to attractive entry points while mentally budgeting an acceptable downside risk. Just because a stock you like goes down 20% doesn't mean it'll stay down.</p>
