The demo account is used for practicing which means your investment is virtual and in the live account you invest real money. In a demo account, you don't even invest a single penny but can trade like all the other traders. The trading conditions prices and commissions remain the same in both accounts. The only difference is that in a demo account, you don't lose or gain any profit, whereas in a live account profit or loss is real.
