Why my trading order shows pending?

<p>Usually, when an order executes, it reflects in your "Activity &amp; Orders" as "Filled" without delay; however, there are instances that may cause the order to still show as pending. If the order is for a mutual fund, please note that mutual funds generally trade once a day at a set cutoff time. Typically, this is the end of the regular trading session at 4:00 pm ET. Since mutual funds do not trade in the pre or after-hour trading sessions, if you enter a trade to buy, sell, or exchange shares before 4:00 pm ET, you will get that day's net asset value (NAV) price. In this example, the trade will show as "Pending" until executed at the NAV. Please keep in mind that it may take a few hours for the website to reflect the execution.</p><p>For trades involving stocks and Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), there are various types of execution strategies that can also have an impact on a pending trade. To give you one, if the trade was established as a limit order, the order may show as pending until it executes at the price established when setting up the trade. Once executed, sell orders typically settle 2 business days from the trade date (T+2).</p>
